Project Overview
This large condo-style HOA project in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach allowed us to showcase our full in-house capabilities as a self-performing contractor. The project included underground stormwater repairs, concrete improvements, ADA accessibility upgrades, and a complete parking lot repaving throughout the community.
Project Challenge
Before paving could begin, the community’s underground utility system needed attention to prevent future asphalt failure. After conducting core reports and a stormwater assessment, our team identified multiple areas requiring excavation, stormwater pipe replacement, and utility repairs. Proper planning and infrastructure repairs were essential to help prevent sinkholes and premature pavement deterioration.
Scope of Work
- Conducted core reports and stormwater assessments
- Excavated damaged areas and repaired underground utilities
- Replaced and repaired stormwater piping systems
- Repaired curbs and sidewalks throughout the HOA
- Installed 45 ADA-compliant accessibility ramps
- Removed existing asphalt ramps extending into parking areas
- Repaved the entire community parking lot in two lifts for a durable 3” asphalt surface
Project Outcome
The project was completed during the fall season to minimize disruption to residents and traffic throughout the community. The result was a safe, accessible, and visually appealing neighborhood with improved infrastructure and a long-lasting parking surface residents can enjoy for years to come.
