Soil Stabilization

Soil Stabilization, also known as Full Depth Reclamation (FDR), is a process to recreate and permanently fix poor subgrade conditions. Asphalt is a flexible pavement that when paved on a loose or saturated sub base, will prematurely crack and fail. FDR uses a powdered Portland cement which is mixed with the existing subgrade and water to create a concrete-fortified base. Once the base is graded and has time to cure, you can pave directly on top.
